Great big open spaces, 3 different areas contain play equipment. Only 1 swing set now though, when I was a kid there was 3. Thankful to the Lions Club and Rotary though for the equipment they helped get put in.
Located in the southeast part of town, this is a desirable area to live in. Safe, affordable living for the average person. The college and gym are very close by, both just north of Wellington Street. The Finch & Wellington plaza host a variety of businesses, including a coffee shop, a variety store, a pizza joint, a sports shop and a place to purchase work attire. Tim Hortons is on Confederation St at the end of Finch Drive (one of the main roads) and the Confederation St plaza is home to McCarthy's Bar & Grill, worth mentioning for their popular chicken dinner. The mall and the happening area of town are also not far, as Finch connects you to London Rd and Exmouth St as you head north. Good sized park to take the kids or pets, throw the frisbee or ball around, or just get outside for walk. The Howard Watson Trail is conveniently parallel with the west side of Sherwood, taking you along a nature path (that was once a path the railroad used) past a nearby sports park and skating arena, even all the way to Chamlachie. Overall, Sherwood is a great place. This is essentially the well rounded part of town that people want to be in.
